12 Days of Blind Date with a Book makes a great gift for book lovers or is a way to treat yourself.
Each of the numbered 12 pre-loved books is wrapped in hand-stamped brown paper with a handmade bookmark!
All proceeds fund our foster home ministry.
Because of the larger quantity of books you’re getting, these may take a bit longer to ship out than typical orders, but all books will go out before December 16th to ensure they arrive by Christmas (unless ordered after the 16th in which case I’ll get it out as quickly as possible!)

Here’s exactly what you’re getting when you choose 12 days of Blind Date with a Book:
- Twelve used hand-selected books in the cozy mystery category
- Twelve handmade bookmarks
- One thank-you note from us explaining why we do what we do
Why used books?
We send used books because each book we ship is being saved from a landfill. We get some from libraries when they withdraw books. Others are from individuals that don’t want them anymore.
It’s a great way to reduce the insane number of books that end up in landfills every year. (an estimated 320 million per year do!)
This also means your book will not be in perfect shape when it arrives. Most will have some wear and tear, but all are still readable. We would never knowingly send out a book with extensive damage. If we do, please let us know and we’ll send you a replacement!
We also do our best to avoid sending books from a series unless we’re sending the first one. But, there are always some that do slip by us!
Books may be hardcover or softcover, but shipping is always free!
Who makes the bookmarks?
Our daughters! Each laminated bookmark will feature stickers, drawings, and/or abstract artwork from our young daughters.
They love making them, and it’s a fun way to spend time as a family. After all, who doesn’t love stickers and coloring?!?
If you love yours, you can order more bookmarks from our shop. These also make great gifts for book lovers.
Why DO we do what we do?
Simple answer: foster care.
We are passionate about caring for kids that need the most love. To do our best, we needed some extra income.
Each book allows us to do more for the kids we’ll open our hearts and minds to.
